Canadian Law/ Crime and Punishment Novels?

I have to read a novel about crime and law and it has to be Canadian. Any ideas? Something like "Life With Billy".

Kathy Reichs writes about forensic anthropology and takes place in Canada (French) She is a good author, is a forensic anthropologist and producer of the TV series Bones.
