Where can I find cheap mystery and crime novels online?
O.K., I'm a novel junkie but I hate overspending for a book I'm going to read through in less than a week. Does anyone have any ideas where I can find good novels for a good price online?

- ebay books category novels subcategory
- TRY THIS
- Go to http://www.half.ebay.com/ all kinds of great books for sale there...really really cheap!!!
- you can try amazon.com ebay.com or for free you could try torrent sites like isohunt.com , mininova.org
- If you want to read the classics, try the gutenberg project. They put books up for free online when the copyright expires (75 years after the author's death). So, Sherlock Holmes and other such stories are fair game.
- Here are a few places you might want to check out: (1) www.novels4less.com: This is where I usually begin. The site has a link to an E-Bay store. Great novels at a great price. Plus, everything is always a flat rate (including S & H). The only con is selection, but if you find something you like it's a great buy. (2) www.alibris.com: If I can't find a novel I like from Novels4Less, this is my next stop. Much, Much, larger selection (but they get you with the old $8 S & H fees). (3) Salvation Army / Library : This is the cheapest alternative, but who really wants to drive to the Salvation Army to pick up a book?
- The library, there free to borrow for just about how ever long it takes you to read them. And they have a huge selection. And its FREE
- There are some great websites that allow you to trade books. See my profile for a link to titletrader and paperback swap. This allows you to get rid of a book you no longer want and get something you do want in return. Titletrader is awesome because you can trade books, dvd's, cd's and vhs tapes. So if you get rid of a book you may be able to get a dvd in exchange. I have found that this is a great way to get rid of a book you may no longer want and get something in return of equal value a new book.
